Our History

Our beginnings were born out of necessity.

One of our principals, a developer, was half-way through completion of a 22 story hotel and residential tower when his casegood supplier ran into financial and logistical difficulties. He didn’t have time to go through traditional channels, so he created a new way to do business, not only finishing the project on budget and on time, but ahead of schedule and with a better product that was made in America. And CG Hospitality was born.

As our company has grown, we’ve assembled a team of experienced and accomplished professionals from varied, but complementary backgrounds. We’ve been where you are, and understand the needs and viewpoints of today’s developers, purchasing agents, and designers.

Our
Philosophy

01

Full Service Solution

At CG Hospitality, we offer a full-service solution, from start to finish. We start by assisting in shaping the vision and design of your project, from minor design modifications to complete designs and shop drawings. Then, our VEA (Value Engineering Alternatives) initiative provides you with quality product choices designed to work within your budget, not ours. We then handle the crafting and shipping of your order at our U.S. facilities – ensuring that your order will arrive quickly and in beautiful condition.

02

Fast, Reliable Delivery

Our centrally located US facilities give us greater flexibility and reduced cycle times enabling us to accommodate last-minute changes that couldn’t be accomplished otherwise. Rather than coming from another continent, CG Hospitality’s casegoods are fabricated, assembled and shipped from the American Midwest. This results in tighter logistics control, easier communications, and fewer headaches for you.

03

Environmentally Friendly

Not only are environmentally friendly practices healthy for our planet, they’re a good business decision. By manufacturing our product in the USA, we eliminate the large emissions from international shipping. Our manufacturing facilities employ the latest techniques in recycling, down to the resuse of sawdust for home use in area communities. Additionally, our products are produced with finishes made from natural compounds that exceed regulations for VOC’s and all plywoods and engineered wood products are formaldehyde free.

We incorporate our heirloom furniture heritage into the high tech manufacturing of commercial furniture.

Each piece is custom manufactured and built to last.
  • Solid Wood — All wood is dried to 6%-8% moisture content.

  • Construction — Mortise and tenon or doweled joint assemblies reinforced with solid wood blocks.

  • Top — Solid wood, wood veneer, or high-pressure laminate on industrial substrate (including a backing board to avoid warping and solid wood edging).

  • Base — Plastic edging is installed where needed to protect from moisture.

  • Drawer — All drawers are solid wood with dovetail joints sanded flush. Box is varnished to match piece.

  • Drawer Slides — Epoxy coated Euro-style drawer slide, side mounted, with 100 lbs capacity. Full extension ball bearing slide with 100 lbs capacity available.

  • Levelers — Adjustable zinc plated levelers with white plastic base are installed under most pieces.

  • Finishing — All staining is wiped and hand rubbed. Clear coats are high solids catalyzed conversion varnish. We keep master samples from every job to match at a later date.
